Passengers are still required to show proof of vaccination, according to state Department of Transportation public information officer Jai Cunningham.

The U.S. Centers of Disease Prevention and Control is also still requiring every cruise ship to have on-board testing and medical staff for proper COVID-19 prevention, mitigation and response.

The ship will have personnel available to test anyone who may be symptomatic.

Pride of America will dock in Hilo for the first time in two years on Tuesday, and then will sail to Kailua-Kona on Wednesday.

The vessel last visited Kailua Bay on March 11, 2020.
