Sewer system work begins today on Alii Drive in Kailua Village

A single-lane closure will be in intermittently in effect on Alii Drive in Kailua Village starting today while Hawaii County crews conduct sewer system repair work.

Traffic will be contraflowed around the work near The Fisher Hopper restaurant, according to the county. Work is scheduled 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. through Tuesday, April 26. Flaggers will be present to direct traffic during the intermitten lane closure, which are expected to last about 15 minutes when in place.

In addition to the lane closure, shoulder parking at Kaahumanu Place will be partially closed to accomodate equipment.
