Waikoloa boys places third at state golf tourney

HSJGA Photo Elatan Ree, an 11-year-old from Waikoloa, placed third in the Boys 11-12 division of the Hawaii State Junior Golf Association’s (HSJGA) 2023 King Auto Group 12 and U State Championship on Tuesday at the Honolulu Country Club. The 36-hole stroke play tournament took place over two days, and the Boys 11-12 division played a par 72, 6,040 yard course. Ree shot 81 on Day One and 91 on Day Two to gross 172 (+19).
