The wind and brass performance, which was shared on Instagram by the official accounts of both the royal family and the British Army, showed the royal guard’s instrumental rendition of “Shake It Off” — or, as the post quipped, “Changing of the Guard (Taylor’s Version).”
“Can’t stop, won’t stop groovin’,” the charming video was captioned, in a nod to the lyrics of the hit song.
Off of Swift’s beloved 2014 album, “1989” — and last year’s rerecording, “1989 (Taylor’s Version)” — “Shake It Off” originally debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Friday marks the first of three consecutive shows Swift will play in London at Wembley Stadium as part of the European leg of her record-breaking Eras Tour — the first to ever gross over $1 billion.
Swift shocked fans last week in Liverpool, England, when instead of using the tour’s 100th performance, and her half-birthday, to reveal a new project, she announced the tour will end in December.
