Two new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Hawaii on Sunday, bringing the state’s total number of positive cases of the novel coronavirus to 606 since Feb. 28.

One of the cases was an Oahu resident and the other a Hawaii Island resident, according to the state Department of Health. Both new cases were minors below the age of 18.
With the new cases announced Sunday, Hawaii County’s total number of positive cases of COVID-19 stands at 70. Of those cases, 49 have been released from isolation.
Statewide, 482 have been released from isolation.
No new COVID-19-related deaths were announced at Sunday. The state’s total death count from the disease remains at 14. No Hawaii County residents have died from COVID-19.
Meanwhile, the Hawaii Tourism Authority reported the number of people arriving in the state was up on Saturday.
A total of 542 people arrived via 10 flights to Hawaii airports on Saturday, including 135 visitors and 200 returning residents. One of those flights was arrived at Ellison Onizuka Kona International Airport at Keahole carrying 24, including four crew, one intended new resident, 14 residents, one transit, and four visitors.
Interisland arrivals to Kona totaled 76 on Saturday with 71 of those people coming from Honolulu and the remaining from Kahului, Maui. Hilo saw 92 people arrive from Honolulu.
