Overturned tanker, chemical spill closes Mamalahoa Highway

An overturned tanker on Mamalahoa Highway has closed the road south of the Saddle Road junction.

The Hawaii Police Department is routing traffic through Kaiminani Drive and Waikoloa Road because of the traffic accident near mile-marker 16.

Crews are addressing a chemical spill from the accident. Motorist should avoid the area and expect delays.
