Holistic Health and Hawaii’s Renewable Energy Future: This informative talk is presented by Richard Esterle, Ph.D. From 5-6:30 p.m. on Feb. 25. Dr. Esterle will discuss the results from his recent dissertation survey research which revealed that collective efficacy, perceived time urgency, and perceived health literacy were significantly associated with the perceived likelihood of reaching 100 percent renewable energy in North Hawaii by the year 2045. These findings may inform the design of intervention programs and/or preventative measures to promote overall long-term community health and positive social change.
